Professional Experience
- Document Drafting. Extensive experience drafting wills, trusts, real estate, corporate and business documents.
- Estate Planning. Extensive experience in drafting estate plans for small estates to those in excess of $50 million.
- Trust Administration. Handle post-death administration for quick resolution and implementation of trust actions, trust administration petitions and litigation; obtained ex parte property title order transferring non-funded trust assets to trust allowing $15 million in pending escrows to proceed without delay due to settlor’s death.
- Estate and Trust Litigation. Prepare motions, briefs, pleadings, and strategies for will contest trials and trust administration petitions.
- Conservatorships and Guardianships. Establish/terminate conservatorships and guardianships plus annual required accountings. Seminar instructor on 2007 conservatorship law changes to Santa Barbara County attorneys, judges and court staff.
- Breach of Trustee Fiduciary Duty. Successful representation of trust beneficiaries for breach of trustee fiduciary duty in managing trust funds, resulting in recovery in excess of $150,000 from trustee’s personal assets.
- Probates and Summary Probate Proceedings. Probate proceedings, Spousal Property Transfers & Small Probate Affidavits
- Prepare Specialty Trusts. Special Needs Trusts for Disabled Minors, Grandchildren’s Educational Trusts, Charitable and Qualified Personal Residence Trusts.
